Cedar City has experienced its first cold spell of the season and significant rainfall this last week. Although winter is still on its way, the weather forecast is looking up next week.
Temperatures will increase to the mid 60s, with the warmest day being Saturday, Oct. 25, at a high of 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The low temperatures are forecasted for the high 30 and low 40 degree range.
Sunny conditions will persist throughout the week, but Saturday and Sunday will see mostly cloudy conditions. Despite the forecasted sun, each day there is a small percent chance of rain and heavy wind, which will make the days feel colder than the expected temperatures.
It is time to pull out your hats and gloves for the fall and winter seasons. The chilly nights and chance of rainfall may contribute to slick roads, so remain cautious while driving early in the morning.
Following Oct. 26, temperatures will decrease back into the mid 50s, so this week is the last chance to participate in some outdoor activities. Plan your last trips to the local parks, monuments and pumpkin patches.
