The Southern Utah University Alumni Relations office will be holding this school year’s first Graduation Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day R. in the Haze Hunter Alumni Center , which is located at 557 W University Blvd.
Students attending commencement in April are required to pick up their cap and gown during the fair, as well as anything else graduates need in order to prepare for upcoming graduation. This includes Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude medallions and various graduation stones.
Students should prepare for the fair by ordering their Regalia. Pre-graduation guidance can be found here.
Besides providing resources for graduation, the Grad Fair is also a great opportunity for students to explore areas where they could further their education. SUU and other school representatives will be available to recruit and answer student questions about programs beyond graduation.
The SUU Events Website says students can “chat with representatives about grad schools from across the nation. SUU grad programs will also be there. Ask the reps about program costs, requirements, application processes, etc.”
College recruiters will meet face to face with students, and they will be available to discuss the needs or interests of any individual student. It is a great way to prepare and look into other opportunities on top of an SUU degree.
Students can attend the fair at any time from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m on Wednesday or Thursday. If they are not able to attend this month’s Grad Fair, another will be hosted just before commencement on April 24 and 25.
SUU’s radio, Thunder 91, will be providing music during the event.
