The campaign period for Southern Utah University’s Student Association elections began on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 a.m. and will continue until Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. when general election voting closes.
The candidates
Elections will be held for positions on the executive council and the SUUSA Senate. Here are the students running for those positions:

Applications for the College of Performing and Visual Arts Senator are open until filled. This position’s responsibilities are outlined in the election packet.

Appointed EC positions include Judicial Vice President, Campus Culture and Relations Vice President, Programming Vice President, Marketing Vice President, Athletic Engagement Vice President and STIL Involvement Captain President. Applications for these positions are due by March 19.
Important dates and events
On Tuesday, Feb. 25, primary voting opens and candidates will begin tabling on campus. At 1 p.m. that same day, the annual Pizza and Platforms event will be held in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Ballroom. Students will have an opportunity to discuss policies one-on-one with primary candidates over a slice of pizza.
The following Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m., primary voting will close. The election results will be posted shortly after.
General election voting and tabling begins on Tuesday, March 4. There will also be a General Election Debate from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Starlight Room.
On Thursday, March 6, general election voting will close and the 2025-2026 SUUSA EC will officially be announced.
