A hauntingly fun night at SUU’s Scream

T-Birds threw on their best Halloween costumes for this year’s “Twisted Circus” themed Scream, held in the America First Event Center on Saturday, October 26. Entrance was free for those with a student ID and a signed waiver. Non-students paid $15 to attend.

Ahoy! Two pirates ready for a mighty good time!

The Scream is one of  Southern Utah University’s biggest events of the year, hosting a variety of activities and gathering thousands of attendees.

The Sharwan Smith Student Center was lined with mini golf and carnival games. Food, caricature drawings and even live acrobat shows created long lines of students weaving through the hallways. Students covered the entire floor of the AFEC’s basketball court jumping and dancing to a live DJ.

Caricature drawings attracted many students

Everyone who attended utilized the night to dress up in a variety of creative Halloween costumes. Ghosts, ghouls and popular movie characters were all invited to the party.

The Scream is an event many students wait all year to attend.

“This is one of my absolute favorite events throughout the whole school year,” said SUU student and ACE Nathan Kirby.

The university encourages its students to participate in events like these by making them free to attend. This allows T-Birds  to get out, meet new people and escape some of the stress of college at a low price and in a safe environment.

Students and faculty can look forward to more events throughout the rest of the semester. For more information on these events, see the SUU Events Calendar
