Brian Head receives first snowfall of the season

Brian Head Resort received its first snow of the season on the night of Monday, Sept. 28. This first snowfall of the season was nearly one inch. The fresh snow covered the ground, surrounded by the fall leaves’ changing colors.

Brian Head is scheduled to open for the winter season on Nov. 6, weather permitting, marking an earlier start than last year.

In 2025, the resort opened on Nov. 21, being the first Utah ski resort to welcome skiers.

“Ahead of winter, the resort has invested more than $2 million in mountain improvements, including a major snowmaking expansion and a new pipeline that will allow crews to operate up to 24 snow guns simultaneously on Navajo Mountain,” said James Graven at Brian Head Resort.
