Amanda Salgado will be making her debut this Saturday at the Festival City Farmer’s Market with baked goods from her home country and her business, Sweet Velvet.
“I never thought I would make it to where I am today,” Salgado said. “When we moved here, I lost a lot of my clients, and I think the farmer’s market is a good opportunity to showcase my products, and the joy and care I put into making them.”
From Mexican breads and sweets to chunky cookies, she’ll be selling a variety of treats for market goers to try.
Salgado is looking to be the one who brings that Latin influence to Cedar City and will start her journey this Saturday at 10 a.m. on 100 W University Boulevard.
