
On Tuesday, Dec. 2, two concerts will be held in the Thorley Recital Hall, located within the Music Center on campus. The first concert will be the String Area Recital, which will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Following that recital, the Trumpet and Horn Studio will perform, their concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature individual performances by members of the studio, and two separate trumpet ensembles. This event is also free and open to the public.
Also on Dec. 4 will be the “Flute Studio Recital,” which will begin at 6 p.m. in the Thorley Recital Hall. It will be followed by the “Trombone Studio Recital” at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts are free to all.
The final concert of the week will be the combined Holiday Concert, which will be held on Friday, Dec. 5. The concert will showcase the musical talents of the various ensembles at SUU: the Symphony Orchestra, the Wind Symphony, the Concert Choir, the OPUS Chamber Choir, the Luminosa Choir, the Jazz Ensemble One and the Brass Ensemble. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free for SUU students, faculty, and staff, but will cost money for non-SUU personnel. For ticket prices, click here.
