Festival City Farmers Market to have new holiday hours

The Festival City Farmers Market is transitioning into the holiday season with new hours and seasonal offerings.

Starting on November 15th, the market will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Josh Brown, the market’s coordinator, explained that the later hours are to account for changing daylight so the market can function as needed.

The Festival City Farmers Market is year-round, located at 100 W University Blvd in Cedar City, Utah. It features local vendors, live music, seasonal events and free children’s crafts.

The market’s mission is “to bring high-quality food and artisan goods to one spot every weekend, without fail.” For the holiday season, visitors can expect more baked goods, sweet treats and gift items.

Products sold at the Festival City Farmers Market are of the highest production quality. One vendor, Gina Profetto, sells handmade embroidery, cross-stitching, pottery, ceramics and watercolor products.  “I make my crafts with care, time and consideration. I really take my time to put out a product that is going to last,” said Profetto.

The market has become a staple for its local visitors.

“It gives me something to look forward to each week and an opportunity to get outside and in the community,” said a frequent attendee.

The Festival City Farmers Market also supports Southern Utah University by featuring student vendors and school groups that conduct fundraisers.
