Brian Head Ski Resort has received around 10 inches of new snow within the past 11 days.
According to Brian Head’s official Instagram account, it was reported that the resort received 5 inches of snow on Oct. 16. The account then reported another 5 inches on Oct. 23.
This is welcome news for all skiers and snowboarders who are planning to attend Brian Head this winter, as the resort is currently set to open its slopes to the public on Nov. 7, should weather conditions permit.
In addition to the snowfall received, Brian Head has also begun their snowmaking process to make sure the slopes are ready for the upcoming opening day. This process utilizes water and pipes that run under the mountain directly to the resort. Located around the resort are large devices called snow guns, which project the water from these pipes into the cold air. That water then freezes into tiny ice crystals that fall to the ground as snow. This allows Brian Head to continue to provide snow for the ski slopes, regardless of the weather.
For those looking to pack up their ski gear and hit the slopes this year, resort attendees can purchase lift tickets starting at $14, with prices varying depending on the date. Brian Head also offers a variety of season passes for anyone looking to attend the resort more regularly.
