Brian Head Ski Resort announces first snow of the season

Brian Head Ski Resort has had their first snow of the season this weekend.

The announcement was made via a post on the official Brian Head Resort Instagram account on Oct. 4, accompanied by a picture showcasing snow-covered slopes and autumn leaves. This is welcome news for skiers and snowboarders around Southern Utah, as Brian Head remains a favorite weekend destination for many during the winter months.

The resort is currently set to open on Nov. 7, with events, prize giveaways and access to fresh trails during this opening day. The festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As of now, lift tickets can be purchased in advance from Brian Head’s official website, with a daily ticket having an average cost of around $17. However, prices do fluctuate depending on the date. In addition, Brian Head also offers a variety of season passes for those looking to attend the resort more regularly. For more information, visit Brian Head’s official website.

Brian Head Ski Resort is nestled in the mountains of Southern Utah, and is a 35 minute drive from Cedar City. The resort offers 72 different trails of varying difficulties, along with lodges, lookouts and other forms of recreation.

Due to potentially hazardous weather conditions during the winter months, resort officials advise that visitors take extreme caution when planning their trip.
