A strip of land next to the Exit 59 on-ramp in Cedar City, UT caught fire around 10:45 a.m. According to signage in the area, the fire is controlled by the Cedar City Fire Department.
While some flames are still burning, the contained fire is no longer spreading. No local businesses were threatened by the fire, and freeway traffic was not interrupted.
A statement has yet to be released by the fire department. This story will be updated.
