Temporary road closures for 2025 Rally Motorcycle Race in Arizona

The Bureau of Land Management Arizona Strip Field Offices announced that transportation routes on public lands will be temporarily closed for the 2025 Wizard’s Rhino Rally Race in Mohave County, Arizona. The closure will be effective from 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.

This motorcycle race has been a popular and long-lasting event for the past 41 years and draws about 300 participants yearly.

“These temporary closures are designed to keep participants, spectators, and the visiting public safe during this year’s race,” said Arizona Strip Field Manager Lorraine Christian. “These precautions help ensure safe and successful events.”

The BLM asks visitors to plan accordingly to ensure public safety. Their website has a map of the selected routes. Refer to this to plan recreational use and travel routes in advance. The map is also available at the Arizona Strip Field Office, 345 E. Riverside Dr., St. George, Utah.

Public lands around the race will be temporarily closed, restricted, or designated as spectator areas for the event. These areas will be marked as key access points with signs, fences or barriers.

BLM requires event organizers to abide by all laws and regulations applicable to the area or operations covered by the Special Recreation Permit. They will ensure all authorized persons have obtained the proper licenses and certificates. The organizers will ensure that agents, clients, customers, participants, and spectators comply with these standards under their supervision.
