Student Leadership declaration forms for the 2025-2026 school year are due by noon on Friday, Jan. 31. Those interested in being involved in student leadership must fill out the application before the deadline to be eligible for the elected positions.
There are positions available for the Executive Council and the Southern Utah University Student Association Senate.
Executive Council positions include: SUUSA President, Academics Vice President, Finance Vice President and Clubs & Organizations Vice President. Each Student Body President candidate will appoint an Executive Vice President candidate.
Other appointed positions on the Executive Council are Judicial Vice President, Programming Vice President and Marketing Vice President.
There are SUUSA Senate positions for each academic college and one Senator to represent graduate students. They will be voted on by members of their respective colleges.
Expectations and responsibilities for each position are outlined in the election packet.
Candidates will meet regularly before the campaign period, which officially begins on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 a.m.
Primary voting will be open from Tuesday, Feb. 25 to Thursday, Feb. 27, followed by general elections, which will take place from Tuesday, March 4 to Thursday, March 6. The results will be announced that night.
