Fall activities around Cedar City

Fall is in the air, and so are festive activities all around Cedar City. There are pumpkin patches, Halloween-themed events, corn mazes and other seasonal activities. There are a couple of pumpkin patches that open on Saturday, Oct. 5, and will be available until Saturday, Oct. 26. Those patches include:

Judd Pumpkin Patch, 314 E. 270 N., Paragonah
The Judd Pumpkin Patch is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.with free entry that includes the animal farm. There are $3 per person wagon rides and barrel train rides for $2 per person, but children three and younger are free.

Robinson Family Pumpkin Patch, 1680 W. Industrial Rd, Cedar CityHours for the Robinson Family Pumpkin Patch are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. For a  $1 entry fee there are free hay rides and a petting zoo. Don’t miss out on the $3 pumpkin launching, $2 corn pit, $1 maze and $3 horse rides. 

Nature Hills Harvest Festival, 4326 N. 2100 E., Cedar City
Nature Hills Harvest Festival is only available on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nature Hills Farm. Entry is $5 for kids ages five and under, adults for $7, and an ultimate ticket pass is $12. Nature Hills has s’mores for $3, animal food for $1, and a $5 unlimited bounce house pass, all of which are included under the ultimate ticket pass. 

If you want something more exhilarating, visit The Haunted Forest for a spine-tingling experience. Tickets are $20 per person. The forest is open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. each Friday and Saturday until the end of October. The Frontier Homestead State Park will host their annual Haunted Homestead Carnival on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entry is $4 per person or $20 for a family. Frontier Homestead State Park will also have a Haunted Homestead Cemetary Tour for free on Wednesday, Oct. 23. One tour will start at 5:30 p.m. and a tour at 6 p.m. 

Cedar City has more to offer, from Witchfest Barrel Racing and Halloween Dodgeball to Music Festival and Trunk or Treats. There is something for everyone to do this fall! Go to the visit Cedar City website for more details and activities.
