The Southern Utah University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Utah Valley University Invitational on Friday, Aug. 30. The men’s team took second place and the women’s team finished in fourth overall.

Men’s standouts
— Nathan Carlin led the way for SUU, placing fourth with a time of 14:29.9.
— Junior Coleman Cragun came in seventh at 14:34.0.
— Jacob Peterson snagged 11th place overall for the Thunderbirds with a time of 14:40.2.
Women’s standouts
— Madisan DeBos placed seventh, finishing at 17:01.9.
— Isabella Evans finished second for SUU and 24th overall with a time of 17:44.9.
— Freshman Audrey Hales placed 34th overall at 17:56.5.
What’s next?
Both teams will compete in the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21.
