The Southern Utah University men’s golf team wrapped up play at the UC San Diego Invitational on Tuesday, March 26, finishing tied for No. 13 out of 17 crews.
Top teams
— North Dakota State University took first with a dominating -7.
— The University of Idaho added a +2 for second place.
— Oklahoma Christian University finished third at +4.
Top individuals
— NDSU’s Jack Johnson finished first at -8.
— Idaho’s Johannes Hounsgaard tallied a -5 for second.
— Blake McGovern from the University of California at Santa Barbara took third with a -4.
Thunderbird performances
— Rashon Williams led the way with a +2, finishing at No. 14.
— Mitchell Abbott placed No. 24 at +4.
— Colton Cherry tallied a +8, good for No. 58.
What’s next?
SUU will compete in the University of Wyoming Cowboy Classic on April 1 and 2. The match will take place in Maricopa, Arizona, at the AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
