James Culbertson, a senior this year, is majoring in photography and hopes to pursue a career in it. Culbertson is currently focused on landscape photography, but after scoring an internship with the Iron Games Crossfit Competition, he has become more interested in event photography.
Originally an illustration major, he took a photography class his Sophomore year, found his niche, and switched majors. He is currently the Photography Club president.
According to their site on T-Bird Connection, “There are opportunities for members to try out different photographic techniques, and advance their skills in the studio, lab, or in the field.” The club also plans to go on trips and participate in demos.
The club will host a photography exhibition both this semester and next semester, which will be showcasing in the library. You don’t have to specifically be a member of the photography club to send your work in. If you’re looking to get your photos out there, send them to suuphotographyclub@gmail.com.
The club meets every other Wednesday in EVT 205, at 7 p.m. To join the club, visit their page on T-Bird Connection here or attend one of the meetings, where either President James Culbertson or Vice President Michaela Garcia will give you more information.
