SUU Student Alumni & Community Relations is partnering with the Student Programming Board to bring Ben Rector, a pop singer from Nashville, to concert during homecoming week 2017.
The singer-songwriter, who has sold more than 44,000 albums and single tracks, will perform on Tuesday Oct. 3 in the America First Event Center at 7:30 p.m.
Rector will perform both song covers and original music. His latest album “Brand New” contains 12 songs based on personal experiences from Rector’s life. The top song on the album, also titled “Brand New” reached Top 5 on Hot AC’s pop chart.
“There were a few artist we were looking at,” Student Programming Board President Sarah Jones said. “We wanted to try hosting a concert that was more specific to students … After learning of his success at (Brigham Young University), we are really excited to have Ben Rector come to SUU.”
Ticket prices are $15 for SUU students with a current ID card, $20 for High School students and $25 for general public. Concert tickets are available for purchase online at tbirdtickets.com.
